EZdrummer mapping
Why doesn't Sonar have the drum maps for all the Ezdrummer kits? It's an extensive list that is provided under "Drum maps" but Ezdrummer is missing entirely. Why? I'm using X2 Producer.

There are several available for download from the Toontrack site. Look in Extra Downloads > EZDRUMMER > HostStuff > Sonar in your Toontrack account

Hello, I just downloaded the above mentioned Drum Map for EXDrummer. I get EZDrummerstandard KIt. Map with a message that says Windows can't open this file. What do I do to get this drum map opened and placed in the right place so Sonar can see it? Thanks,

I think this is correct for SONAR X series: Press P to open Preferences. Go to Folder Locations. Take a look at your Drum Maps folder location. Place the EZ Drummer drum maps there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I have the ones from the Toontrack user area. The problem is that is only a few sets. It does not include: The Classic, Americana, Vintage, Indie Folk..... I'm just surprised that Sonar ignores Exdrummer in the extensive list of drum maps it supplies. Neil

Perhaps it's a matter of the developers not knowing how popular EZ Drummer is. Personally, if all the drummers I have, EZ is the only one I've really used much, so I'm with you on this point. If I ever come across any other maps, I'll make them available here somewhere.

Bapu, You might consider saving your maps in a zip file (along with a txt file giving yourself credit) and upload them to the users section on TuneTrack's website. I'm sure lots of us toontrack users would greatly appreciate it.

That's OK...I'll do it myself when I get the rest of my drummaps made. BTW...it's not a forum...we wouldn't want you wasting your precious time....

Bapu - don't drop what your doing to send the maps to the TT site.
I followed the process for uploading stuff to them; I sent the Sonar map for Metal Machine ages ago - like last summer - had contact with TT, sent the email, la la la. Still not there the last time I checked. Anyone want the MM Sonar map, PM me.
That said, the last guy that was looking for the MM map - I PM'd the map - he never acknowledged that he got it. Maybe he posts for kitchens cabinets these days..
