I needed to e mail someone at Cakewalk

I have spent a lot of money over the years. on Home Studio 3 and then 4

And the on sonar 6 studio and I liked that so much I bought sonar 6 producer.

I have just tried to re load them after quite a few years.

The codes wont work for me to register them and it seems impossible to talk or to e mail anyone.

I cant even send them a  photograph of my products because I am new here.

HELP!!!

    Hey Badzav...

I used to use Sonar 6 Producer too! I found this link...
    http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/product.aspx/SONAR-6

It isn't much help because most of the links are dead.

The usual support page is here, with phone numbers,
    http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/contact/default.aspx#ts-policies

But Sonar 6 is no longer supported. I'm not sure what they'll tell you. Still, it seems like being able to install the products is something they would ensure you could do.

Did you try logging in to your Cakewalk account and checking the registration codes on that page? I just logged into mine and my codes don't look like yours anymore. For example, they have no dashes in them. The registration code is 4 sets of alpha-numeric separated by dashes. Maybe your problem is that they have updated their system for serial numbers and registration codes and you are still trying to use the ones from way back(?).

    If you go here...
    http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/

and click LOGIN you should be able to log in to your account and view the registration codes and serial numbers for all of your products. If you can't log in to your account, perhaps support will support that... :-)

Also, Support may be closed as it's New Year's Eve.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thanks my friend. I am unsure what to do about them not supporting it any longer.

Well, as long as you can get it installed, do you still need support? If it works, and you know how to use it, you should be good. If you are wanting help with bugs in the software and that sort of thing, you're going to be out of luck. That said, Sonar 6 worked fine for me to make a whole pile of great mixes. It should work fine for you.

Once you get it installed, you should be good to go. Right?

So try logging in and getting the latest Serial Number and Registration Code and try installing it using those.

You can check the upgrade paths if you want the latest version and are willing to pay for it. I don't know what it will cost you to upgrade from Sonar 6 PE to Sonar X3 PE. That would get you to a supported version though.

Even without the registration key, there is nothing to prevent you from installing Sonar 6. It will work for 15 days. Hopefully by then you will have sorted out your registration problem.

By the way, after installing Sonar 6, install the 6.2 update, available here:

    1) remove the pic of ya serial number .. thats plain silly.. can you post me $2000 also ??

    2) you might be contacting the wrong department.. e.g. tech support instead of customer service

you will probably have changed ya email address since 6 , thats the issue more than likely.

if your in the states ring em up in office hours. otherwise try their customer service *NOT* tech support.

...The codes wont work for me to register them...

The picture you posted shows that you have already registered Sonar 6PE.  You don't need to register it again, just enter the registration code after launching Sonar.

+1 to Kev. Not only do you not need to register it again, you can't. One you have the registration code, it is good for any install of the same version on any of your own computers. You should be good to go.

Ya, you should not post a picture of a serial number, not that anybody(Pirates) would be installing Sonar 6 anymore as it won't run on any new computers.

And as said all you need is those 2 numbers to make the software work, I don't even have a internet connection to my DAW. But if your trying to install it on a Windows 7 or 8 computer I doubt if it will work.

There are some users successfully running Sonar 6PE on Windows 7 who post here occasionally.

I'm making an assumption, but it sounds like the confusion here is that you are trying to register serial numbers that are already registered. If you already have the serial numbers and registration codes, you do not need to fill out our registration form again. Trying to do so will tell you that you can't.

All you need to do is enter the serial number and registration code into the software when prompted. I hope that makes sense! If you get stumped give our Customer Service team a call. Contact info is here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/contact/default.aspx
