Windows 8.1 update ... no sound

Just upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. Whereas my audio interface (cakewalk ua-25) used to automatically start up, now it doesn't at all and therefore I have no sound. What to do? This happen to others? Frustrating .... any advice pls ...

    If your windows sounds aren't working check "Manage Audio Devices" in control panel.
    If Sonar is still failing to recognise your interface (even though windows does) try renaming AUD.INI

    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    Alex, Thanks for your help. Problem solved. I went to 8.1 driver support and downloaded latest driver.
