What we're doing - And what we've done?
I'm always glad to hear what we're doing, but also what is nice is to hear "what's been done?" i.e., I have 80+ tunes, doubt that my next will be my best, I've done some really good ones though... Some "really good" But a lot of folks haven't heard them because they're older. I think we should pick (for example) a month? Or maybe part of one? Where we post some works we've done in the past, that have no recent play, but believe they are some of our best works? I'm sure you have them too... I have a bunch that are older, but just kick ass. (in addition of course to all of the current/new tunage which is all very good) Like the oldies channel on your radio? :-) What do you think?

My main point is, if we've done several dozen songs, our best one may be #27? And maybe people haven't heard it. We all have some that are better, and some less better. Some older, and some newer. It is very very likely that most people haven't heard some of your best works.

I say we set up a timeframe, i.e., a week this month, or next, and pick several songs (ones we believe should be heard again) And the post maybe 2 or 3? as a sort of "best of?" We all have them :-) I have more than 3! So for me it would be difficult to choose...

Well it's a thought. I'm wondering how many people would really be interested in what I did 3 years ago. Actually I noticed someone posted a tune they did several years ago recently, one they're really proud of, and it got almost no interest. Maybe instead of swamping the first page with old tunes, people could submit their best 'oldies' to someone (you for example) who could upload them all to a site, make it like a little Songs Forum radio station, and keep it all to one updated thread.

I think most people have their older songs on their main music page, and if not they could. All you need is a link to where all your music is available for listening and if people want to listen then they simply click on the link. I have 69 piece on my sound click page and the link is always available on every post I make in the forum. So, I tend to think along the line with James. Peace and Blessings, John

I have been involved in 79 songs that have been posted here in the Songs forum. The first few (before The CHB began) I'd probably never bring up again. From 1985 through 2000 I "produced" only 31 songs. I also wrote about 10 more klunkers in that time that never saw the light of day. I could put together a single post with a link to all 79 songs but I cannae be arsed to do it.

Maybe you would prefer a separate Songs forum for this. "Oldies but goodies", perhaps. I would prefer to keep this forum for those seeking advice rather than just showing off. If you want to show off, join Facebook or some other social media site. I, for one, only come here seeking help, not to be a rock hero. My ego doesn't need that.

Robby, I love your voice. Many of you original songs move me. Your covers are generally spot on. But..... I have to say that Lynn's observation makes sense. It does "seem" as though you "may" be seeking a way to "show off" all that you've done. If not, I apologize for thinking that of you.
