Any way to increase the size of plugin windows?
Is there any way to increase the size of plugin windows? For instance, running Maschine as a plugin, the window isn't large enough which results in some of the features not accessible in the window because it isn't large enough. If I run Maschine in stand alone mode it Is not a problem, in fact, I can make it as large and the screen. Is there any solution to this?
Thanks
Joe

Others may chirp in, but as far as I am aware the only solution is to increase your screen resolution or monitor size.

AFAIK it's plugin dependant. Some vendors, like Melda, have all their plugins resizable. There's nothin you can do in SONAR or Windows (except for changing resolution) to change that, AFAIK.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

It is plugin dependent, but I'm pretty sure Maschine specifically is resizable. If you can't drag the border, check Maschine's menu for small/medium/large options or something.

The few Native Instrument plug-ins I've used had this option: small, medium, large window size. And you could even customize the size of each in the settings.

Due to the way VST graphics are implemented in the most commonly-used development libraries, resizable UIs are difficult to create, requiring the developer to make separate images for each size. Most vendors don't bother, but I think size/scale options are going to gradually become a more-or-less standard feature. FabFilter, Voxengo and Native Instruments are three that come to mind that offer 2 or more (fixed) size options. Very few are continuously resizable, e.g. Valhalla and some Meldaproductions. It would seem that the more complex the UI the less likely you'll ever see size options. However, Urs Heckmann has listed graphical scalability as one of the expected enhancements in Zebra3, and that's about as complex as plugin UIs get.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

IIRC Maschine does allow for being resized as VST. It is done through the same setting as in stand alone mode. I believe there are three sizes small, medium and large. Regards,
