Midi controller buttons

Hi, I've been using MIDI designer on iPad to create short cuts to control Sonar X3d, and seem to be able to use only 8 buttons, or 16 if I assign a shift button or change the ACT bank, does anyone know if you can use more than 8 buttons without having to do this, or what would be better is if key bindings excepted MIDI cc instead of notes?

    Yes, 8 button slots only (+8 with slots Shift modifier). You can midi learn them to respond either to notes or CC's (in that case you should tune send your controller to send only 0/127 values there)

    Thanks for the reply appreciate it, I'm really surprised by this there's loads of commands I could make use of. Looks like I'm going to have to get a wireless keyboard.
