Anyone running Project 5?

Especially on Win 8.1 x64 along with Sonar X3d.

I just found my old P5 discs and thought about installing it.

It ran fine on vista 32.  I haven't put it on my wind 7 64.  I think someone was running p5 in 64 bit, but I can't be sure.  Maybe it is time to try ...

Project 5 is running fine here; but I am on Windows 7, still think will be okay with Windows 8.
My biggest gripe is with Sonar 64bit one cannot rewire. I was so disappointed when Rewire 64 came out and it was not back compatible to 32 bit apps, plus no 'Bridge' developed.
One needs to install Sonar 32bit, if you have to use 'old Rewire', DXi and some others.

    I'm running P5 over here w a Win 8 64 bit lap top ..
P 5 itself runs very good as a 32 bit app on it's own in Win 8 64.
It has been very stable for me so far , it is pretty snappy and responsive compared to my former P 5 / XP spec...machine and set up
there is no rewire to X3d 64 bit as mentioned ...

I did a custom install of X3 PE at 32 bits to get some of the instruments and plugs over and into P5 .
a few things that didn't show up from X3 PE as useable in P 5 , all the Nomad Factory plugs , True Piano, Overloud TH2 ,
Breverb , Lounge Lizard and the Pro channel modules
PS,  i didn't expect them to show up …..it would have been to good to be true ….
Rapture , Dimension Pro , Session Drumer 3,  zt3a+, Addictive Drums , Melodyne single track , and all the Cakewalk PE vst plugs  have made it over and are useable in P 5 .
(that in itself blew my mind and made the gamble of doing the P5 install more than worth it to me…..)

    all the best ,

Wow Mike.  The same thing happened to me last week.  I was going thru my "Maybe Usable" box and found P5.  I was running the last version of the program, 2.51 I believe, and it is still listed in my Cakewalk account folder.  If I get some free time in the next couple of weeks, I will also install it.

Win 10 Pro x64, 32Gb DDR3 ram, Sonar Platinum, Cubase 9.5, Mackie MCU Pro, Cakewalk VS 100, Roland Octa-Capture,  A 800 Pro, Carver M-1.5t amp & C4000 pre amp, various mics, drums and brass instruments.

    And away we go!

I used to use this - http://www.energy-xt.com/index.php?id=0115 (Rewire VST) to rewire Project 5 via JBridge into SONAR x64 - but not for quite a while. Once Project 5 is wrapped as a VST, it bridges via JBridge just fine (or used to). I may re-install Project 5 myself just to give this a try.
