Picture Cache Regenerating more than it used to?

I have really long projects (often 3 hours).

In the last few days, several projects that I have been working on fairly recently have regenerated the pictures for the wave forms. It's not a big deal, but it can take 10-15 minutes.

I'm not manually purging the cache
C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache

And when I look in the folder there are items all the way back to October. The gigs regenerating have all been performed more recently than that - so they shouldn't need regeneration, right?

Is there a setting? Anyone else experiencing more frequent wave image regeneration?

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Hi, Geoff

There is a setting somewhere to increase the size of the picture cache.  As soon as I remember where I'll post it.

I'm not sure it will help your issue, but maybe it will if it has something to do with the massive size of your projects.

Jonathan.

You nailed it JB101.
My picture cache is currently 645 MB in the directory and in Preferences>Audio>Configuration File
The picture cache is set to 500 MB.

:-)

I must have boosted it on past installs and forgotten to boost it on this one.
