trying to use battery 3 drum sample repeats itself any ideas??

I have loaded a kick drum and a hit hat and a snare sample into battery however when I press each pad on my mpc they seem to0 play each sample to fast repeatedly. ill press each pad once only for that boom boom bap and I end up getting several hits
 
??? how do I stop the samples from repeating with only being pressed once.  to clairify ill hit a pad once and instead of getting one hi hat or snare in return i here multiples
