This ended up being so funny I had to share...

A couple hours ago, my wireless optical mouse starts getting jerky, so my first thought is all of the posts I have read over the past couple months. First thought... "Oh great... here we go..."

   Save/close X3... no help
   Reboot... nil
   Unplug/re-plug the unified receiver... nada
Pull the batteries, hit the buttons to discharge any capacitors... nothing
   Adjust mouse settings... nope
Uninstall EVERY Nvida piece of software that was not specifically video-driver related... nichts

Finally, I flip the mouse over and blew into the optical cavity on the bottom... DING...

My girl friend had decided to "clean" around my computer... so during the process had gotten dust into the mouse!

Moral of the story... NEVER let anyone other than yourself near your computer!

Agreed, they say the area around the desk is probably dirtier than a toilet. Nevertheless it's YOUR toilet.

The dust is so thick on my desk I could plow it and grow corn.

Flip your keyboard over and see what falls out. It can be frightening.

Apparently the Keyboard is more unhygienic than a public urinal.

YIKES!  I took Craig's advice and looked under my keyboard.    Time to break out the vacuum.
