Sonar X3 not saving certain settings.....I think

I have the latest patch of X3, and I've noticed that certain settins dont save with the project. I have to select midi inputs and outputs every time I open a project. I also have to set the "snap" to 1/4 note, it reverts back to 1/32 everytime I open the project. Is there a setting I have to change somewhere to make these changes save? Also failing to load certain presets in some of my vst's. Never had these problems with X1, never upgraded to X2. Thanks for any input.

    I've noticed this too with vst presets in particular. Both Cakewalks SI drums and Addictive Drums dont save the loaded kit and revert to default every time. X3 is my first X series version, so I wasn't sure if it was something about X3 or the X series in general. PITA either way and I can't think of why anyone would want it to work this way.

    I also just lost 30 min of work, because I turned autosave on last night, and it never crossed my mind that it wouldnt be saved in the settings. But no it wasnt, and this is a major PITA!!!
