X3 and Kontakt 5 patch import

Hi all,

Anyone had problems with this?

Opened Kontakt 5 for the first time and said Yes to import pre-built patch database into Kontakt. 'This will only take a second' it said.

It kept going overnight and then I killed it. Now when I open Kontakt it continues the same interminable task.

?

Cheers
M

Are you doing this in standalone or hosted in sonar?

When I first ran Kontakt and all the NI stuff or any synth that has a standalone companion I always do that version first and make sure everything is sorted out before doing the vst route in SONAR. One other thing of note, do you have any anti spyware/virus stuff on your PC? This will slow Kontakt to a crawl when you first launch.

    Thank you guys,

    Was running in Sonar.

NI got back to me pretty quick and said to Run As Administrator standalone. Seems to have sorted it...

    Cheers
