Korg UK have just accused me of being unprofessional!

According to KORG UK, based on a conversation I've just had with them, if you're using a PC for live performance you're not professional and should go out and buy a Mac immediately!

Perhaps some of you PC based musicians would like to let them know that not being bothered or able to write ASIO drivers for their, in my opinion, over priced and over hyped workstation, the KronosX, is in fact making them the un-professional ones!

That sounds like the Korg business mentality/model. I still have an Oasys 76 I purchased when they were new and the machine sounds and plays great but, Korg Customer service sucks.

As far as Korg is concerned they are always right and the Customer is wrong. It seems like everything they currently make is some cheap plastic toy, most with mini keys, they are asking top dollar for. I will not invest in Korg ever again.

Long time Korg user, haven't had to deal with support hardly at all over the years. Good quality instruments. Of course the M3 and Radias is mostly metal and the Kronos has little plastic on it either. The TritonEXs I were mostly plastic, but since they didn't leave the 'studio' was never a problem. I do agree that an iPad doesn't make a person a professional live performer and think that was short-sighted of that Korg rep to say so. Obviously, that rep is an apple eater. Fortunately, Korg has plenty of PCers in their mix too. But then again, I don't play out 'live' anymore and real studios use towers - tablets are just accessories. Apple & PC.
