So what am I messing up with track templates?

I am trying to make a basic template that I can drop in to files, a cwx kind, not a cwt. So I add an instance of the TTS1, of BFD3, Kontakt 5, and then a couple of buses, one with QL Spaces. Get everything looking good, and export the template. When I insert it in to a file, even a blank one, only some of it comes in. The buses appear, and QL Spaces is on its bus with the right setting loaded. Also Kontakt is there, with the right instrument loaded. But TTS1 and BFD3 are missing. They just aren't loaded at all. If I load up the cakewalk project that I used to make the template, everything is as it should be.

So what am I missing? It is my first time trying to make a template, so I've no idea what I'm doing :)

Make sure all the tracks and buses are selected before saving the track template.

+1 I just went through this the other day - I had forgotten to select something, and it didn't become part of the template.  I just went back and added it and saved again, and all was fine.

I particularly love track templates for Battery 3 custom drum kits, where I have each cell routed to its own outputs - and have all of the audio tracks for each kit piece set up and routing assignments made, as well as levels - and multiple drum buses.  I also have track templates set up for Kontakt 5 - with various multi-racks set up, (piano/bass/organ/strings, and other combinations as well), with the output section assignments made in Kontakt, as well as the audio and midi tracks defined in a track folder and such.

I just LOVE track templates, and project templates too, for that matter.

Anyways - I hope the suggestion for selecting all that you want included in the track template helps you get your issue resolved.

That is it, didn't know you had to do that and how when they are selected, everything is happy :).
