I have not received a News Letter since mid December. Have I missed anything or has there not been any new News letter? Thanks Gerry

CW regularly sends out marketing material. There are always a bunch of mailings around the holidays and there have been several this month too. Contact sales or PM the staff on the forum if you want them to look into the issue.

I never received any news or marketing materials from Cakewalk although I had registrated my email several times but none of them worked. I have no problem on receiving Cake's email when I use the Cake's Store.

I think they may have figured out that instead of dealing with the non receipt issues so many people are having they should just sticky the darn things at the top of the X forum. Between various email filters, obscure or quirky service providers, maintaining and (hopefully) securing a recipients list it does seem much more logical to just post the darned thing every month. I actually prefer it because I hate checking my email. Don't know why... I just do. Probably because I used to answer sometimes hundreds a day in a previous life. Whatever... VIVA LA NEWSLETTER STICKIES!!!!

This is an cakewalk-acknowledged problem and there was a promise recently that it was about to be fixed. You'd think they'd be anxious to reach the customers that are begging to receive promotional material... I never sign up for newsletters and special offer mailings, but this one I really want.

I don't get these sent to me either, and the last one was 50% off X3 producer upgrade and that offer isn't even listed on this forum or on the cakewalk website.

Its still available: http://www.store.cakewalk...ductid=10-CXSP3.00-2DEChange 'us' to gbp for the UK link, or whatever it is for the euro store if you need it in a different region. Stuff like this should be posted on the forum or put on the main website because the newsletters aren't going out to some people.

Not true, that is the regular price for the X2 Producer to X3 Producer upgrade. The link is a Studio to Producer uprade. It is possible to get their mailings, it might take some persistence. IIRC, there have been some campaigns on Facebook or other social sites but I have been receiving their e-mail for years so I have not bothered to check them out.

FWIW we use a very very large and popular third party service to handle our email newsletters there can be many factors that can cause you to not receive it: 1] The simplest solution, you're simply just not signed up. You can subscribe/unsubscribe on our website here. 2] Your ISP/email provider bounced an email and your address was marked as non-deliverable. As soon as this happens your email address is suppressed and you'll stop getting new emails from us. This is to protect our sender score so we don't end up looking like a spammer in the eyes of the ISP. If we send an email after the ISP/email provider said 'this is a bogus email address, do not email me' it can have a negative impact on our sender score and the ISP is very likely to block all emails from us to their users. 3] You moved one of our emails to a 'spam' or 'junk' folder. Some email providers will treat this like a hard bounce/spam complaint back to the sender. If this happens your email address is suppressed and you won't get future mailings. 4] You never, never open our emails. If we send you lots of emails and you never open them we stop sending them to you as frequently. Its not that we don't like you, we're just not sure if you're still there. When this happens we don't wipe or suppress your address we just leave it in a special area and you might get an email from us every other month or so instead of weekly. Anyway - if you're sure you signed up and still not getting emails from us feel free to drop a line to customer service and they can sync up with our marketing folks to find out what is going on.

5) Or you browse emails as text, or don't view images in emails, or never click on links. That's viewed the same as 'never open our emails' (the only way Cake are gonna know via the very popular email service). For me the only way for me to get the newsletter was to get cake to manually add me, personally I would just prefer them to be a link to a blog post.... Anyways...

Yeah, is there any reason the Newsletter hasn't simply been posted on the site and linked to in the forum in the past? I don't really read it often but it never seemed to me like there was anything that required the recipient to be a customer. Just news about deals, tips and general happenstances.

Now I didn't write that did I ;) It could just be a simple matter of flagging a forum account as a customer. I doubt it would be necessary though.

Same problem here. I’d been receiving Cakewalk newsletter emails for years, but haven’t received one since 12th December. I’ve since re-registered my yahoo email address about 5 times (it keeps saying it’s not registered when I enter it) along with my works email address and my gmail address. I raised a call with customer support about a month ago giving them the 3 email addresses above but the only response I had was the automated email saying they’d get back to me as soon as possible. I emailed them a few weeks ago about the case number but still no response. Also nothing went to my spam box - I check that daily as things can slip in occasionally

X2 producer to X3 producer was $149. X-any Studio to X3 producer $299 is a little steep. I think Sonar 7 S to P was $100 but I could be confusing that with something else.

The newsletter has been forthcoming with some great deals for me, I think you probably have just unsubscribed to it. It's easy to re subscribe. I just downloaded a Hammond B3 organ for $10. It's smoking! I'm stoked as it's my most used instrument of all, I've been suffering the TTS-1 for way to long... They are offering a bunch of instrument deals until Feb 28th.

No, I definitely didn't unsubscribe, and it is actually impossible to re-subscribe. As I mentioned whenever I go to the newsletter page and put in my email address, it says I'm not subscribed, so I go to the signup page and enter my details and then .... nothing! and I did that with 3 seperate email addresses, yahoo, gmail and my work email. I've just been there now and tried the 3 email addresses and they all say 'you're not subscribed for anything' I think they're really shooting themselves in the foot with this because they do offer some great deals with the newsletter (I've bought many things in the past) but now I'm unlikely to buy any. I wouldn't have bought the X3 upgrade if they hadn't have posted the December newsletter in the forum and also extended the $20 voucher offer which I knew nothing about till January! It's a shame they can't keep updating that thread with a link to the latest newsletter
