Just threw my back out. I didn't realize MIDI notes were so heavy.
So I was just sitting there happily dragging around some notes in the PRV trying to tighten up my drum track when all of a sudden I felt that old familiar twinge shoot up my spine. Guess I was sitting weird or was all tensed up focusing on what I was doing. It's not bad but I'll probably be wonky for a while. Just thought it was funny that I used to throw it out moving heavy furniture or gear. Now it goes moving little cubes on a screen. lol Gawd I'm such a wimp.

I've been wonky for almost 61 years. You'll get used to it.

I once threw my back out taking clothes out of the dryer. Hobbled home and into bed and couldn't move for 12 hours, not even to roll over.

Like sharke (in a way) I threw my back out reaching for a pencil. Seriously, I was laid up for two weeks. Still have chronic lower back pain 30 years later. Maybe I needs some medical chronic?

Amazing how one little incident from your youth can plague you the rest of your life. I have chronic lower back pain also, which started when I was age 20. We were stoned in a kid's playground (what a glamorous youth I obviously led) and I took a swing on the monkey bars. The twisting motion irritated my lower back and it's flared up on a regular basis since. I do much better these days since I started a regular routine of stretches, particularly the pigeon pose which I think has helped me more than any other. I also avoid sitting on sofas as this flares things up as well. I don't even have a sofa in my apartment, I sit upright on a desk chair all the time.

No it's the one where I waddle through Times Square eating cigarette butts and vomit.

I guess I've been lucky with my back. The few times I've ever given it a bit of a rick was when throwing beer barrels around, and strange to say, it happened on the occasions when I picked up an empty one. I guess your muscles and poise are set to dead lift a heavy barrel, and when you actually pick up an empty one, everything's wrong/unexpected. Or something like that.

Wow, I knew you liked a beer mate, but can you not just use a glass or something ? ;)

Considering the shock of losing all my t-shirts laid me up for a fortnight, he did a pretty bad job.

Damned back problems, eh? So common and yeah... all it takes is once and it'll nag you forever. I've got other contributing issues but I remember my first time as well (you always remember your first time). I was a young and mighty Beep, all of 20yo... maybe 21, raging away at the world, strong as a donkey and smart as a tire iron. I was boxjitsuing my way through a small warehouse of stuff that needed to be sorted and had to drag a small but deceptively heavy crate of junk out from a bottom shelf. I lunged at it, twisted to pull it out and "KAZZZORPPPP!!!"... lightning shot up my lower back. It was just a little tender for a few days but that was the first zap out of hundreds... perhaps thousands up until present day. If I knew then what I knew now I most definitely would not be in the crummy position I am today... but yanno, young, stupid, invincible. You know the schtick. Anyone needing tips on avoiding/alleviating back pain let me know. I'm a freaking master at this point.

I also have tennis elbow in one arm, golfer's elbow in the other, an intermittent ankle problem, neck problems, I can't sit in the sun because of a previous bout of melanoma, and I have tinnitus. Despite this, I still feel very lucky indeed when I see some others' plights.

I won't list all the messed up things that could, in theory, happen to me because of my "issues". In fact it's much healthier for me if I don't think about that stuff at all.
