Lucky/Unlucky?

Can't work tomorrow 'cos me van needs a new timing belt.

That's bad 'cos I need the money.

If I'd driven it for another 3 or 4 miles, the belt would have snapped, and I would have needed a new engine.

That's good 'cos I haven't got the money.

Funny old game, innit.

At least it didn't happen out on the road where it might have caused an accident or you'd have to tow it.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Unlucky, but not REALLY unlucky is what I'd say.

Lucky would be if the van broke down and a hot, single, wealthy female stopped to help.

Another 3 or 4 miles and Bill could've lived in the van.

If it had stopped down by the river that is.

Not a problem.

99% of Scotland is 'a river'.
