Differences between Sonar versions?

Newbie Question:
The Forum has Separate Topics for both "Sonar X Series" and "Sonar Producer and Studio"

and there are also products named: "Sonar X3 Producer" and "Sonar X3 Studio"

What are the differences between "SONAR Producer" and "Sonar X3 Producer"?
Thanks

The "SONAR Producer and Studio" forum is for older versions of SONAR predating the X series.

And you are correct, it is super confusing. They do need to rename the old forum.

" Old Forum"
or
"Old Forum for Old users"
or
" Old Sonar Producer and Studio"
or
"Sonar 8.5 and Legacy"
or
" This is not the X series Forum"

Thanks, that really put my mind to rest. A few hours of online researching, and even Google couldn't answer the question. Yes, if that is the current forum naming convention, it could really be improved...
Thanks again for assisting
