MIcroscope view, how to nix it

I want to use the regular track, or loop view, and edit in piano roll, that's all. But one track is in the microscope view with the pencil on it for a cursor. How do I get rid of it, and not open this view when I insert a new track?  I am evaluating X3 upgrade and don't know if this will help for that also.  Thanks much!

You really should be posting in the X series forum above. There are several ways to switch tools in SONAR. By default, there is a tool selection module in the upper left-hand corner of the tool bar. Try clicking the left-most icon (a star) for the smart tool.
