If I have Eco and BFD3 - is there any point to learning Eco?

I purchased Eco and the update to BFD2 and started watching the Groove3 videos for Eco. I just recently upgraded to BFD3 and I'm wondering - is there any point to continuing to learn Eco or should all my energy go into learning BFD3?

I'm in the same boat and decided to focus on the flagship version BFD3. I just used Eco as a stepping stone to the upgrades. YMMV.

Eco is great and very easy to work with so there isn't any real learning curve. I use it for basic work and bring in BFD2 if I need a really big kit. Don't know a thing about BFD3 other than what I've read here.

There's a video on Eco showing what it does and it's not really a great stretch. Sometimes people use lesser programmes while sketching ideas.

I would say learn BFD3 and Eco will seem like child's play afterwards.
BFD3's work flow and design was partly taken from Eco, like having the mixer always visible.

    There's BFD3 Demystified from MacProVideo and then there's groove3's BFD3 Explained.
I bought the latter but from the previews I prefer the look of BFD3 Demystified and it's the cheaper option right now but they're both excellent.

Eco is rather easy to learn and BFD3 is the one to learn. The best drum synth on the market.

Thanks guys - I'm going to focus on BFD3 and go from there. There are so many training videos I have queued to watch, it seems like learning Eco and BFD3 would be a bit redundant.

I have EZ and many kits and SD2.0 (which I am not selling). My initial toying with BFD3 is - OMG! :)

Is that OMG it's amazing or OMG what have I done ?

I felt the same when I started using BFD2 but I'm so glad I stuck with it as it's much more fulfilling to know that I'm hearing a sound that I have created completely from scratch, no matter how bad it is

OMG - AMAZING! :) I am so excited to get this and I am looking forward to being productive with it. It just seems like an amazing creative tool! I have a full kit in my studio with 9 mics and though I don't play drums, I love mixing them. BFD3 lets me do that to any level of detail I'd like.

    This is some impressive stuff!

That statement alone tells me you are well on your way to mastering BFD3.

BFD2 was a very hard act to follow because it was so good but FXpansion topped it with BFD3 in ease of use and sound quality.
