Double Note on Start

When I start the playback of my song from 1:01:000 the first midi note is doubled. I can not find the reason why? Can anyone help?

Its probably a duplicate. I would check your event list and delete the duplicate note

I checked it. There is no duplicate note. This happens on every track at the start of the playback in every project i created :/

You should always skip the first measure and leave it blank,,, it has always taken Sonar a nano second to get started,, never put a note at 0.

I disagree. This should only be necessary in very particular circumstances like sending SysX or patch changes to hardware synths. If a project is all audio and soft synths, everything is buffered up before playback starts and there shouldn't be a problem.

It would still be interesting to note if the problem persists after inserting a blank measure at the beginning of the project.

When I insert a blank measure at the beginning, the problem is solved. strange! I can remember we had the same problem years ago with cubase sx with the system of a friend. but i dont know anymore how he solved it.

It might clear up if the playback buffer size is increased in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording. It may be a quirk of the synth being used.
