Interesting new amp idea from Line6

I've always enjoyed my POD II and Flextone. POD for recording or plugging into the loop of a Powerblock. I like to use the Flextone for playing along with music channels on the A/V system with cable TV, Spotify, etc... HOWEVER this new piece looks like a LOT of fun for "Madison Square Den". You control it with an iPhone or iPad, maybe other devices and it is designed to sit on a shelf, designed as an accent piece that the wife will like. It uses Bluetooth and has a HIFI sort of speaker system, not designed to gig with. Affordable too. It is not yet on the Line6 website but it is on Sweetwater for pre-order. I thought it worth mentioning. I think for me, it might take the place of several amps and especially the Flextone, which maybe I can get 200 bucks for but I doubt it.

AMPLIFI 75 and AMPLIFI 150. I think the 75 will be more than enough for me and at 399... it is a risk worth taking, IMO. I don't know if it will be any good for recording but it sure looks like something great for easy fun and practice.

I seen that too jbow, it looks interesting. Any time Line 6 comes up with something new my ears and eyes perk up. I would love to hear a demo of it.

The line 6 DT25/50 is still something I'm looking over. Hopefully things there will be even better now that Yamaha owns them or will own them....notice I said hopefully. We can only hope.

Glad you like yours Clint. I figure since I already drank most of the Koolade, it's worth a serious look.

Line 6 shot themselves in the foot w/ POD HD - I'm so happy with that thing that I'm no longer in the market for any such thing. :P Looks cool, though.

I do have a Spider 75 which I haven't used in a while, and I still have my old POD 2 - neither of which I plan on getting rid of though I don't use them.

One of my buddies has the DT and absolutely loves that thing - even if he also has access to lots of amps that the DT emulates. The DT is his main thing now.

Me, I really don't play loud - the minute I start loosing just a tiny bit of definition in what I can ear, I roll back the volume knob. Most amps are way too loud for my taste, the ones I'd like are, anyway. Or then they come with smaller speakers, which I'm not always happy with when recording.

    So POD HD it is.

I have the HD500 too. That with the DT50 covers everything I need for live use.

I have an HD500 that I have yet to even unpack.

    Go figure.

Actually, I bought it so that guest geeter players could choose a sound that they want to hear while recording and I'll (behind the scenes) record a dry guitar track that I can fiddle with after the fact.
