turned on sonar, no sound...

why don't I see any tracks.  Please don't tell me I have to record something.  I'm going to switch to Logic!!!!

    what are you talking about ?
    a little more info might help your cause.
    did they just disappear during a project, did you open up sonar and it started this way ?
    (because all projects start this way / no tracks / no busses / just master, metronome and preview buss)
     
    have you opened up the track manager to see if they are hidden ?
     
    if you have not checked this, then you might have the same problem in any DAW including logic as well.

    check if your output on the main buss is set up correctly

    Humor doesn't always translate well to print...
     
    The joke is that he's expecting that Sonar will self-record and he doesn't have to do anything. But, he's an admitted "dumb kid from hell." In hell, they have fantastic DAWs with no latency, unlimited virtual instruments, a beautiful and advanced user interface, and workflow that's virtually effortless. But it's hell...there's no "record" button. That's why he doesn't see any tracks.

    Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.
