Soaring Over the Rockies - Bleeding Fingers contest entry

Please have a listen to my Bleeding Fingers contest entry and let me know what you think:

hxxp://www.hanszimmerwantsyou.com/tracks/1504

The project was recorded and mixed in Sonar X3 with a little bit of pro-channel postprocessing on the final mix. I used the trumpet stem and also the string stem for the second half only. All other instruments are EWQLSO and Apocalypse Elements.

    Sounds really good man!
I really like the writing/composure.    The song definitely has a majestic feel to it.
I'm no "Bill Metoyer" but to me, sounds like the volume could be brought up a bit.
Maybe some very slight EQ. More Highs wouldn't hurt in my opinion.
I've never written or mixed anything classical so there's always the possibility that I don't know what I'm talking about.
    Great piece!

I haven't posted enough to be able to post a url, so you have to replace the hxxp with http. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Cool, I visualized a movie scene where the camera sits right on the shoulder of an eagle (do they even have shoulders?) as it soars and dives around and over the Rockies...it works.

Voda La Void...experiments in disturbing frequencies...

Thanks for the great feedback! I was a bit nervous since this was my first public upload of music I've worked on. It was a lot of fun to take on the challenge, and I look forward to putting up more pieces in the near future.

I think you have done your brief well. The song has an soaring majestic feel.

I think you could expand on this and create an entire symphony (if you were so inclined), it feels like the introduction to, or a part of, something even greater.
