Producer X2a Midi to Audio

I am looking to confirm that the audio to midi just delivers timing not pitch.
Are there any program that will convert audio to midi  with the pitch/notes?

Melodyne Essential, bundled with X3,  does pitch-to-MIDI for a single melodic line. You would have to upgrade to the Melodyne Editor to get polyphonic pitch detection.

Depends on which tool is used for audio to MIDI. I believe V-Vocal will do what you want, Audiosnap will not.

I kind of forgot that V-Vocal offers pitch-to-MIDI conversion because my early experiments with it yielded pretty much unusable results both in pitch and timing. I really can't recommend it at all. Melodyne does a much better job.
