superior drummer help

hi everyone, does anyone have any experience with superior drummer? I've been using EZ drummer for a couple years and it works very well so last week I decided to get SDX, i'm having a hell of a time figuring it out. what i'm finding is getting the tracks in X-2 to match the channels in SD.
any ideas?

It is just like any other drum synth. Insert the SDX with "MIDI Source" and "All Synth Audio Outputs: Stereo" selected. Then assign the outputs in the synth to the tracks. In the case of SDX, open the mixer view and right-click on one of the outputs near the bottom of the mixer and select "Multichannel". This will setup the routing automatically. I believe the default tracks are:
    Kick
    Snare
    Snare Bottom
    HiHat
    Toms
    Overhead
    Ambient Close
    Ambient Mid
    Ambient Far
    Ambient Mono
    Ambient Bullet

Of course, this is a simple multi-track setup, there are many other sophisticated routing options inside the SDX mixer.

If you click on the inserts at the top of the mixer in SD2 you will find a drop down list of bread and butter FX that can be added on channels, busses, and outputs. Unless I need a specific fx like delay on just the snare, I usually just use the plugins in SD2 and just use the stereo out for a two track drum mix.
