Sonar producer is recording previous into new

Im playing a drum track on on track and trying to record onto a new track with guitar but it continues to record the sound coming from my speakers into from all previous tracks into any new ones i record. I checked all my soundcard settings and the listen to this device option turned on on my soundcard as a cakewalk guide said to do and it does not fix it. Please someone has to have a way to fix this as i am completely unable to record with this issue. Ive tried new projects and everything but no matter what even with headphones in the sound from the headphones is being recorded into the new track along with the mic imput.

    I take it your using an on board sound card as you don't list anything.
