Addictive Drums

Hello all,

I am attempting to created a drum map in Sonar X3 Producer ...so I can play the addictive drums through my electronic kit...
I'm changing the drum notes in the drum map, but the sound is not changing on the kit....??
For example the hi tom in AD is 71...when put this note within the drum map.. the sound isn't changing...??
luckily the snare notes are the same "36" and I can hear the AD snare ...so I do believe I'm on the right track...

What am I missing...???
Thanks in advance....

What is easier is to go into your drum brain and re assign the midi note sent for any pads that are different. This does not change the sound in the brain, just the transmitted note value.

Depending on which electronic drum kit you have, AD may already have a drum map for you. It already had one for my Roland TD-4k kit. It's explained in the AD manual under "drum maps".

    Hey ...
    Thanks guys....!!!
Let me explore all three of your responses....I did just figure out that one has to keep the same "in note"....just assign the "out note" according to the AD note map....
By the way the E-kit brain is an Alesis DM-5...don't laugh...I'm "ole school"....

AD has the drum map for the Alesis DM - 10. Maybe you could start there? It may contain some of the same pathways you need. It may also point you in the right direction.

Just go to the "Beats" page and you'll see the "drum maps" drop down.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
