Plug In Online Help

I am trying to find mode detailed help on plugins. I can't seem to find detailed help on many items. For example, I get general info and references to " see Sonitus fx: Compressor online Help" for more info.  Am I missing something or am I being referred to something that doesn't exist?

In this case "online help" refers to files online locally on your PC. The Sonitus online help files are installed next to the plug-ins. The default location is "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins". For the Sonitus Compressor the file is called SonitusFXCompressor.chm.

When you have a plugin open, just press F1.

A compressor like the Sonitus is like any other of the 1,000,000,000 compressors. All you need to do is leanr how a compressor works and you will know how to work every compressor. The same goes for every other effect, like Reverb, EQ chorus, and so on.

    Learn about these things compressors:
    Threshold
    Ratio
    Release
    Attack
    Knee
    Auto gain
    Input
    Output

Sometimes you may also need to first click on the plug-in background and then press F1. Or other times, help is available from a button or menu on the plug-in interface.
