Alien kudos...

A few years ago I bought an Alienware 17" laptop w/3d - my wife and grand daughter wanted it.
It turned out to be a lemon and spent more time with them than us- they finally got tired of trying
to fix it and sent her an amazing 18" gaming laptop but no 3d. 4 HD's- 2 video cards..just a gamers dream machine.
A few weeks ago the screen went out. She called (I won't deal with computer service...easier for me to throw them away) and a couple of days ago she received a brand new 17" with 3d glasses.
 
I don't know if it's her luck our Alienwares customer support but something is sure going like I wouldn't imagine.
 
Naturally I'm sure glad to see it happen since the last desktop I got is an Alienware...water-cooled monster that loves X3 :) fortunately and maybe if and when I need support things will go smooth. Yeah...I'm surprised with Alienware. Kudos to 'em.

    Glad too see good customer support (generally, i'm losing hope in this CS). Alienware do make good gaming machines.
    How do they like the 3D glasses during gameplay? (I was considering setting up my system for 3D as well.....)

    Mesh they only got to watch a few movies on the first one. They wanted it for movies, not games.
    When that lap went south I got a big screen 3d so when they replaced it with a gaming lap nobody really cared.
    Last night I got the new one all lined out and checked the 3d with the new Star Trek and it was most excellent.
    Alienware used Klipsch sound and after I checked the movie I listed to some of my music at Mix and was impressed...for a laptop. There was not only great stereo but depth to the sound.
    The picture and 3d is just excellent. I know in about a week I'll sneak of with it and watch Gravity. Looking forward to that.
     
    If I were a gamer...I'd have to go with one like that 18". Ours was discontinued is why they replaced it.

    I haven't tapped into the 3D movie thing yet.......but, it's on the horizon.  :)

    3D's are too large in my opinion.  Nice B's or C's are just fine.
