Best way to upgrade Sonar X3?

I've recently got X3 studio, and just wondered of anyone have any good tips for:
*upgrading to Producer
*buying more Prochannels cheap
*anything else?

I already have AAS Lounge Lizard and good enough drums, so is there anything else I miss besides Prochannel?

I'm not sure if having Producer is all "that". I do own it. Yes, they do run sales on prochannel mods that's how I bought some of mine. I do like the zoom EQ. The best X3 Producer features are the EQ, Color coding and Comping. You have two of the three. I was thinking of downgrading from Producer X2 to Studio X3 because I have all the prochannel mods I need plus I use Toontrack drums. Then Musician's Friend had a save 10% sale so I bought X3 Producer upgrade there for $135.

But isnt all of the Prochannel items included in Producer?

I can see in the overview of the X3 family, Producer has 8 Prochannel modules. Studio has 2.
And there is something called "Boutique Suite" where Studio has TH2 Sonar, Producer has
TH2 Producer       BREVERB SONAR   PX-64 Percussion Strip   VX-64 Vocal Strip   TL-64 Tube Leveler   TS-64 Transient Shaper   Tone2 Bifilter2   Analog TrackBox
I see the Prochannel pack is 179$ from Cakewalk - is this offered somewhere else?

Upgrade to X3 Producer is about 250$.

The price will go lower, it always does, but who knows when?

    I don't see a big take up of a $250 upgrade.

you missed a good sale last month... As to whether it's worth it, review the following and only you can decide: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/versions.aspx

Personally, I think it's a no brainer.  Disagree with J Mas.... the chart says it all... then again, if you wait till years end... X4 should be birthed, although I really wonder what they could do...at this point, X3pro satiates me!

Then again, it's an individual choice of what all the extras are worth to ya... Addictive Drums alone are worth the price to me.  They're awesome!

You're right. It is definitely worth it IF you need the extras. I have Toontrack and native Instruments Drums so Addictive was not attractive nor have I used them yet. They do sound great. But, as far as tracking and mixing the Studio Version (with my X2 Producer PC mods) would be just fine for me.
