Need help: Setting up Nektar lx49 as a control surface

Hi all,
 
like mentioned in the headline, I cannot get my new lx49 work as a controller.There is a installation CD with a .dll file for it which should be placed in the shared surfaces folder of Sonar X3.
After that when starting Sonar, one should be able to navigate to the options -> control surfaces -> add new controller/surface (the little yellow star) and then you should be able to select nektar lx49 as the new controller.
But although i installed the .dll it is missing in that dropdown menu for me and I can only choose one of the controllers that come with Sonar itself...
 
Because I am totally new to this whole midi control stuff, I don´t really want to set it up on my own...I got no single clue of what I would need to do in this case. Can somebody help me out?
I already contacted the nektar support and they are on it aswell but maybe one of you guys knows better?
