So, How do I remove V-Vocal clips in X3?

I am working on some old tunes; some tracks have V-Vocal on them. X3 doesn't have V-Vocal, but I do not know how to remove the V-Vocal assignment to the audio clip.

Any suggestions?

Perform an advanced install of a previous version of SONAR which had V-Vocal and install the SONAR Producer program only.

Custom install of X2 and only install the plugs that are no longer in X3. They should work.

I think you should install from X2 and only install V-Vocal and it should be available.

When you apply V-Vocal to a clip, it creates a muted copy of the the original unaltered clip underneath.  If you delete or move the processed clip you will see it.
