Using MC2: How do I record music into MIDI?

Hi all. I'm using Music Creator 2, and I am confused as to how to take the music I've composed using the program on the staff sheet and creating a MIDI file that can be shared with other users.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

MIDI... I generally bounce it to audio and work with audio and do my exports, but I think you can export the midi track as well.

I know you can copy & paste it..... so it should also export.

Or are you talking about converting it to audio?

I'm wanting to make it so I can use it as music for a game I'm making, or at least allow someone else to listen to it.
I'm really not tuned into which I should do, so forgive my total ignorance on this subject.

Create a folder on your desktop called 'MIDI Files'.
Save the project to that folder as a MIDI Format 0 or MIDI Format 1.

    Ah, so easy!

But how do I keep my drums when converting it to a MIDI file?

If it's a MIDI file and the drums are on channel 10, they should play on any General MIDI (GM) synthesizer.

Get an *.mp3 maker but for a MIDI song, it may have to be audio first, played and recorded back as audio not midi.
Played as midi but then recorded as an audio file and then made into a *.mp3 file after that - exporting the audio.

You would first have to render the MIDI to audio, either by inserting software synthesizers and playing the MIDI tracks through those and bouncing the tracks to audio, or recording the MIDI playing through a MIDI synthesizer (like a MIDI keyboard) into an audio track.
Then get an mp3 encoder off the internet to render the .wav files (audio) to mp3. Or you may already have an mp3 encoder on your computer. One of my computers does, the other does not.

This is what I use:  http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html

It runs in full mode for a limited time. You can opt to keep it and run it in demo mode when it times out. Everything I need it to do is functional in it's demo mode...... trim start & ends, normalize and convert to MP3.
