    There were reports of displays in southern England last night,  which is very unusual.
     
    I tried to see them, but I live in the midlands and it appears we didn't get it

    Thanks Wooks!! I knew there'd be an intelligent answer/reason for this.
     
     
    However, I've also seen this very same phenomena after a good bowl of chili......somewhat radioactive too.

    Colors are also dependent on it's elevation. At times you can see pink, blue, and yellow.
     
    The forecast for Wednesday was a 5 and Thursday was a 4, 10 being the most extreme.
    Northern Canada got the real show. Sadly, we were at the very edge of it so we didn't see those levels.
     
    A cool web site to watch is here. It updates every 30 seconds and covers both ends of the world.

    Mannnn ... that looks like some really good Sunshine! (the only one that ever gave me colors to no end!)
