Sweetwater slow in processing my order

I am a customer who has used my Sweetwater account to purchase quite a few items from them over 3 years.

I ordered two software items yesterday (Sunday) and expected to receive them (electonically) today. My order history disappeared from my account on Sunday but appeared again today. Computer glitch?.

Sweetwater has always been fairly quick in processing my previous orders (same day).
But today is asking for :-
" In order to verify that the account number provided is associated with your name and that the credit card is in your possession, we are requesting that you provided a copy of the credit card and photo ID.  It is fine if you wish to block out some of the digits on your card before sending. This information is typically only required for your first purchase with us, but is necessary to protect both the cardholder and the merchant from fraudulent transactions occurring."

Since I am a registered customer I would not expect to be asked this.

This is the first time I have been asked this. It seems strange.

I'd call them...I'm sure they can work it out.  But with all the hacking and nonsense
I understand.  I would call just to verify that they want that info, and it's not some
employee or hacker being underhanded.  Better safe then sorry.

Never respond to an email request about your account or any account. Give them a ding dong.
