$99 activation for ProTools 10!?!? WOW.
If you already have an iLok 2 usb paying $99 to have ProTools 10 and the plugins is a steal.

they do some crazy things... the sample logic sales awhile back were amazing and Fanfare is really cool...

According to Arturia's website, the laboratory is 64 bit, which they're selling for 129/99 boxed/download. the "factory" is 32 bit...

Can ProTools plugins be used in sonar X3? I'd rather not explore another DAW and from what I'm reading, PT on a pc isn't that good. Then again, what do I know? guess the real issue is upgrade price to PT11, 64 bit...

The ProTools 11 upgrade from ProTools 10 activation card at Guitar Center is $299.00.
ProTools 10 is 32bit and all the plugins are RTAS so they can only be used IN ProTools - the plugins are not VST and cannot be used in other DAW programs.
If you wanted ProTools 11 64bit with the new AAX 64 bit plugins this is a cheaper way to get to that. Pay $99 and register then upgrade for $299 and total cost would be $398.00. This assumes you already have a iLok2 usb dongle as ProTools still requires iLok 2.
Protools 11 new full goes for $575.98 at MF. Save $177.98.
I paid $599.00 on one of the specials and got Avid Eleven Rack guitar effects, iLok 2, ProTools 10 & 11. I don't see that deal being offered anywhere anymore. MF has this bundle but it's $899.00.

Picked up laboratory! Great 64 bit/4300 sounds from arturia's legendary analogues, once updated $50...irresistible! But the real deal is FanFare. Mine arrived! Amazing 30 gigs of awesome Systems Blue brass running in sample logic's great interface. Spent an hour with it so far...just medium round with the multis was organic! IMO, this is the REAL steal, eminently usable in X3...don't see why'd this ain't sold out for $79! $400 from Sample Logic... an amazing library for peanuts!

If only I had some budget left I'd be tempted at this - I was one of the original owners of Revalver from Alien Connections - have to say I was more than a little peeved (sorry about the pun!) when Peavy purchased the product then would not offer owners such as myself any upgrade path whatsoever. It was such a shame as it was my favorite guitar sim product back then.
Unfortunately my version of Revalver stopped working some time ago and I have not tried the new one. Anyone tried version III? Also is this a boxed product or a download would anyone know?

I suspect they paid a bit for it because they pulled the plug on all sorts of promotions at the time. They were never generous with the pricing until now because we all know the new one is close.

Nigel...it's a boxed version.... Also, since you have Addictive Drums (I believe) you should have a FREE copy of HPse in your XLN account... You can upgrade to the full HP for $9.99 direct from Peavey. And up from there for the FULL version MKIII.V Version IV is knockin' at your back door...
