and proven themselves to be semi-normal (who could ask for more)... and let us take a surgical instrument to these spam posters. I think with a little help any of us could keep this place clean. None of us are here all the time but maybe 5 people who are regular would make it so that someone would be here at any given time.
Maybe a assistant MOD sort of status, not to intervene in posts where we may think it is a TOS violation but just to remove obvious spam. Personally, I would not want to be in a position to judge posts by members, that is the job of CW mods, IMO... but we could help in a limited way in removing obvious spam, blocking their IP and then submitting a report of any blocked IP to CW for review, in case we make a mistake. We have a form of ownership, the sort of "ownership" that does not involve money but the investment of time and of self to help make a decent place.. I think we have that sort of "ownership". If that is not the correct word, I apologize. I don't mean ownership in the strict meaning of the word.. I think you know what I mean, we are invested with our time and with our minds. We use Cakewalk, or we love music and we are a community.
We can help... I think.

Been begging for this for years. We don't even need to be able to ban users or delete threads. Just give us the ability to move threads into another folder and create a spam bucket for that purpose.

That is a better idea. Enough people so that at least one will be here most of the time and a spam bucket! I don't know why they wouldn't do that. I don't think anyone would abuse it because no one would like that. I wonder if these spammers are the same people who are telemarketers. They are a step below telemarketers but both are bothersome.

This would not be hard to implement on this kind of forum. Another method that would self-clean spam is simply have any post market d spam by more and han three people automatically delete
