[Answered] Anyone know what important role this dent has btw?

I've always felt a bit uncomfortable whenever I click the area and the dent happens...

I believe that is the peak value for an audio track. It always shows up as a negative number.

Actually I found the reference (it actually is a peak marker so you can click on it)

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Thanks. I always use Shift+C so I didn't realize it's actually a button to reset the value. I still feel uncomfortable after knowing this, though.

I laughed when I found it, since I didn't know you could click on it! I always thought it was just an indicator, go figure.

Interestingly, Simple Instrument Tracks (not MIDI tracks) don't have the button but the double-click reset works just as well...
