Weird behaviour with PlugIn Subfolders

Hi,

This is a new issue. We only bumped into it yesterday for the first time.
We have made a PlugIn Layout (beside the existing ones: Default All Plug-ins and X3 Producer Effects).
We have started with the X3 Producer Effects layout and added some extra folders such as UAD PLUGS, WAVES. We have also created a folder called ALL VSTs were we added all VSTs installed.
What is happening now:
* When I chose a plugin in the WAVES subfolder, it does not open (nor any error shows up). But when I go to the ALL VSTs folder, the same plugin opens just fine.
* In the UAD plugs case, the Manley Massive Passive plugin open from the UAD plugins folder but the Manley Massive Passive plugin does not. Weird isn't it. But if I go to the ALL VSTs folder both open just fine.

I have tried deleting the folders and build them up again and it does't solve the problem.

Is this an koan issue?
Any ideas?

thank you

Did you physically move the folders or define the layout in the plug-in manager? I have not played with this much, but for older plug-ins (pre-X-series) I moved them to a folder called "VSTplugins OLD" That may require adding a scan path, however, but the folder structure carries into use inside SONAR. I never got overly involved in doing this though so not sure of related quirks. The scan path is the only thing to make sure is accurate for this, and may require a manual rescan once moved.

I have not played with the Plug-in Manager much at all, since I worry if I ever need to re-install that I may lose it. If you have gone that route, someone else would be better help.

I defined the folders in the ply-in manager.

It's not a scan problem. They all show up and open if I go to my ALL Plugin folder.

    Just to clarify:
And problem only occurs if I add the plugin in the track's effect bin by right clicking the mouse etc.
If I move the effect from the efx browser to the tracks effect bin it works.

This is annoying since it is much easier to have the effects in the folders and subfolders. Other wise I have to scroll down for a long time before I get to i.e. the UAD plugs...
