I've really wanted to check out Nectar, and I don't think I've had Revalver LE (or whatever) since Sonar 1(?).  Cool.

    Thanks for the post...

I was about to post it myself... I grabbed them a little earlier...

Nice that they allow users to opt between ilok and online reg... Why anyone would want ilok...? I guess there are a few things that can be helpful in the right situation...

I'll play with them and I'm sure find places to use them... Nectar seems a decent channel strip, but I like my own already... We'll see. Revolver? It feels good to have it again as it got lost a while back... If I remember correctly Cakewalk allowed a substitution (users choice from a list)...

From the bit of tinkering I just did with it, it sounds pretty good... We'll see how often I select it... I still seem to gravitate towards Amplitube 3 most of the time... They've all gotten so good that I can work with any of them... Including a few lesser known simulators I've collected...

    Now back to tinkering...

Much thanks to XLN and Cakewalk for the weekend's new toys!

The downloaded file iZotope_Nectar_Elements_v1_00.exe is a windows installer. Run the installer, follow the prompts, make sure to install the VST versions of Nectar Elements in the appropriate VST paths for your SONAR installation (if you want the VST version installed and picked up by SONAR).

I assume this is in line with the approach taken by Celemony where we are given an entry level product on the hope a good number of users will go for a paid upgrade to get extra features.

Can only be good from the end users point of view. I like it!!

Both Nectar Elements and Revalver HPSE are free to owners of either AD or AK.

The wording on the XLN site may be unintentionally misleading, at least it was for me. The wording I saw makes it look like Revalver HPse is free for AD owners, and Nectar Elements is free for AK owners. But I was able to download, install and license Nectar Elements even though I own only AD via Sonar X3, so what scook said appears to be true.

I like Nectar Elements, it's a nicely implemented alternative to Sonar's VX-64. I am grateful to XLN Audio (and Izotope, I assume) for offering this.

I'm almost positive that you don't have to own any XLN products at all to get these for free.  All you have to do is create an XLN account and then request them from your products page.

I downloaded Nectar Elements.  It looks interesting, but I haven't had a chance to really dive into it.    Already had the Peavey Revalver, which is not bad.

I'm sure this is the case but a cool thing nonetheless.
