[SOLVED] RIP Wayne Knight!

What a shocker! One of those celebrity deaths you're just not expecting...always loved this guy in Seinfeld, he was the icing on the cake of every episode he was in. Died in a car crash last night apparently. Terrible!

Newman!  Say it isn't so!  Well, it ISN'T so.  He's still alive.

Is Wayne Knight dead? A story has gone viral on social media claiming the Seinfeld star died in a car accident. Thankfully, it seems the death of “Newman” is just a hoax.
The Wayne Knight death hoax started when  a site called TMZ.today reported the actor had died when his vehicle hit a semi-tractor-trailer near the Pennsylvania/New York border. The website looks like an actual version of TMZ and even features fake tweets from witnesses of the “crash.” However, neither of the Twitter handles that supposedly wrote these tweets actually exist.

A similar parody of Us Weekly also “reported” that Wayne Knight is dead. But a quick survey of these  websites proves that they are not legitimate. For starters, the Us Weekly parody falsely claimed that former Family Ties star Brian Bonsall is dead, while spelling his name wrong throughout the entire story. The TMZ parody, meanwhile, wrote that Selena Gomez is pregnant with Justin Bieber’s babies, even though there is zero evidence of this.

If you can't believe what you find on the internet, then the hoax and the correction are both incredible. It is a Schrödinger's cat situation. Wayne Knight clearly exists in a superposition of living and dead.
