Sonar x2 anddirectx plugins

I installed BIAB 2014. It has a vinyl restorer plugin in the powertrax directx plugins folder. I tried to copy it over to the folder where all the cakewalk directx dlls are located. How do I get sonar to see it. (I'm using win7 64bit, FWIW). I installed BIAB after Sonar, so this isn't a sharwd file sonar would have seen before, but does that even matter?

I believe BIAB is a 32bit application. This would mean the DX plug-ins are 32bit too. If this is the case, the plug-ins will not be available in 64bit SONAR but could be used in 32bit SONAR. FWIW, the location of DX plug-ins does not matter, they are picked up from the registry.

Unlike vst plugins though they must be installed during which he time they are registered with windows in the registry.
They can't just be moved after installation like vsts. Make sure to put it back where it was so that it continues to work with your other programs.
There are still a few dx wrappers that allow you to use them like vsts. Google dx wrapper.

Thanks guys. I didn't know for sure if the 32 vs. 64 bit issue was valid because some of those cakewalk fx are old, but it would explain a lot. I was pretty sure that dxplugs were shared files, so location shouldn't have been an issue, but I thought I'd try. I did not move the dll I just copied it.I was hoping to use this plug in the Sonar environment as opposed to Audacity or BIAB but oh well.
