MFC3A.TMP in Sonar 8.5.3

MFC3A.TMP in Sonar 8.5.3

I was working on a song in Sonar 8.5 and got the message that it need to shutdown. Then I got this MFC3A.tmp file in place of my config cakewalk file. When I restarted the computer, the project I was working on did not show up anywhere, just the MFC3A file in place where my project should have been. I do see the audio files, but there were so many edits i wouldnt know where to assemble them on the timeline.
 
Any help would be appreciated...

    Don't you have a backup of the project? 
    Googling those figures results in zilch.

    I backup regularly. Perform Ctrl-S after almost ever take. But this is beyond a backup. The Config file that arranges the project, (edits, takes, audio) got corrupted. It turned it into a .TMP file.
