X3E has made Sonar great again...
I would just like to make a comment here. I have been going through a lot of issues today and I have created a lot of traffic I am sorry. I and others have been validating what has been fixed and what hasn't. This really is quite separate from X3E. People may be getting the mistaken impression that I'm not impressed the Sonar X3. Not at all. Please do NOT get the impression that Sonar is ultra buggy, IT IS NOT. All software has bugs all I'm doing is documenting them. The issues I've been documenting so far have been fairly trivial. Sonar X3E is an excellent update, the best Cakewalk has ever achieved. I wish to thank the bakers for their brilliant work, they should be proud of themselves. I just wish this to be clear in case anybody gets the wrong impression. I would use Sonar over any DAW any day, it's extremely stable in comparison to other DAWs.
Thanks.

I may be relatively new to these boards but I can see how much effort you've put in! Well done Alex! Hopefully the traffic will have slowed down by the time I get back from work today so I can download.......

Thanks, however today is the bakers day and I'm starting to regret doing this bugfix stuff today but I did have time on my hands today. Maybe I should have left it a few days (not sure I could have done it). However I didn't want to p*ss on their parade as X3E is the greatest Sonar patch ever probably. Thanks :).

Yes indeed, and regardless of what I posted elsewhere it is a great task you undertake, and it is appreciated, even if not ins a many words! Personally, (and this is only one small part of the update) Playlist can now finally be used live with confidence...yay!!!!

Alex I hope you don't think I thought you were undermining Sonar. I knew that was not the case.

As a program, Sonar is great again. As a GUI, it still sucks b.. ...... ...... Once they give us color options again, Sonar will "truly" be great again. For now, they are just great.

Despite the number of remaining bugs (and many of them do prevent me from working more efficiently), Sonar is still my most prefered daw (in terms of features, GUI, usability, but not stability).
