TASCAM Control Surface
Are there any rumors about a TASCAM control surface in development for Sonar, or perhaps an update to an existing unit that will make it Sonar-friendly? I use to be a heavy user of TASCAM and always liked their products, but I am not familiar with their current offerings. I love the VS-700 but that is obviously not the future.

Similarly, there are a few of us here who still use the Tascam FW-1884 with SONAR and Windows 7. In that configuration, it works great. Tascam stopped support of it, though, and using it in Windows 8 is a bit dicey; it can be done with some effort, we are told. The FW-1884 is both a control surface (a great one) and an audio / MIDI interface. It would be terrific if we could get native Windows 8.1 drivers. And if not, then we throw away the giant paperweights and hope you are correct about your rumor.

I still use my FW-1884 almost every day, and it is one of the most best value purchases I have EVER made. I personally don't want something specifically for one DAW (though I only use Sonar currently). MIDI has become moot to me with the quality USB interfaces. But a Control Surface with awesome latency and quality pre's at a reasonable price? I'll consider it when the FW-1884 goes kaput!

Funny. Konrad asked if there are any rumors. I said, I hope he is correct [that there could be one]. What it is, or if it is, is anyone's guess.

having trouble with using a Tascam DM 3200 as a control surface, has anyone successfully done this, I use the vs700 set and it works really well, but would like to make the dm 3200 the main surface. Any Ideas? I am using the IFFW card. and it does see all channels. And have followed the Manuel .
