Problems with Sonar X3a install (from scratch)

Installing Sonar X3a onto a new system, I get two different errors.

First, I get the error 'Unabel to register DLL/OCX RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x3 on the following files:
aliasfactor.dll
classicphaser.dll
compgate.dll
hfexciter.dll
modfilter.dll
paraq.dll
tempodelay.dll

After I 'ignore' all of those, install continues until the end (after Rapture and Melodyne) and I get an application error on EncoderConfig.exe:  The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

I'm installing Sonar X3a 64 bit onto fully patched Win7 64.

Sonar does appear to work correctly (did not try mp3 export) at this point.

Microsoft Security Essentials was turned off and install was done under 'run as administrator'.
Any Ideas?

Thanks...Steve

    lawp,

Thanks for the link, but I've been through that one.  I have GDIplus.dll on my system.  While I can understand that the dll's that I can't register might be 32 bit, I don't know why Encoderconfig.exe will not run.

Still searching, still looking for ideas.

    Thanks...Steve

Okay, found the problem.  My C++ redistributables were not up to date.  I was only up to 2012 and I needed the 2013 version to get any further.  Microsoft has them, but they don't make it easy to find the most up-to-date versions.

I had started looking into that, and had a half-written reply, when my cat trapped me by jumping on my chest and falling into deep coma-like sleep.

    Glad you found the issue.
