Sonar X2 Producer plug-in for narrowing bass to mono?

Hi all,
From another thread in these forums I came across Streamworks Audio's youtube videos on Mastering.  One of their videos on "Tight low end", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI_o6qMi45c, discussed using plugins to make sure low frequencies under around 300 Hz are mono.  In the video they show how to do this with with Nugen's MonoFilter.  Can you do something like this with any of X2 Producer's bundled plugins?  The only way I could think of to do it with the included plugs ins would involve copying tracks, summing the copy to mono and then applying high and low pass filters to each to form a crossover.  Is there something more equivalent to MonoFilter included in X2 Producer that I'm missing that would work better than my crude ideas?
thanks,
Dan

http://bozdigitallabs.com/product/mongoose/ there is an older version that was free, but this is pretty decent for 25 bucks. I prefer IK's Quad stereo for increased precision.

Sonar comes with Channels Tools and it will do all sorts of nice things to the stereo image. But for frequency dependent control Mono Filter is your best choice. You could use an EQ to filter out what you don't want.

Yeah, both Pro-Q and Pro-MB are good solutions
For free there is Bassline I am sure there are others.
If I had to do it with only bundled effects, setup two buses using multiband compressors as crossovers with Channel Tools after the compressors to affect the stereo spread.

Ozone has a fantastic one. Ik's is really good too. I'm not sure of one that is built into X2 though.

Bandlab Platinum and every other toy I can get my hands on...and yes I'm way in debt over this obsession...

Thanks for the replies everyone.  So it sounds like what I suspected is true, there's no direct way to do it with only the included plugins.  Maybe multiple plugins and busses could work ok.  Otherwise 3rd party plugins are the easiest way to do it.

Basslane looks like a good free alternative, I'll have to try that out.

The bad thing about basslane is that it is 32 bit only. I used to use this, but now have switched to ddmf stereooerets which can do 64 bit.

Does basslane not play well with bitbridge or similar?

There is no need to go to a plugin outside of Sonar nor a need to use extra buses. EQ the bass on the track and use Channel Tools to control the stereo image. Monofilter is more for a mix that has already been done and you don't have access to the individual tracks.

I have all the Nugen Stereo plugins.

For dance music it can help to make all elements below a certain amount mono and not just worry about the bass.
