Anyone here using Monark?

I think this is my new favorite synth. It just sounds so freaking good! I've always been weary of the whole analog versus digital debate so I was never really excited by the prospect of the so-called "holy grail" of analog emulation as some people were putting it, but having finally installed Komplete Ultimate 9 I have to say it's probably the most impressive part of it so far for me. Suddenly all of those cutting monophonic synth lines with growling filter sweeps which I've never been able to get quite right (even with TAL Bassline) are a breeze and I'm just having a whale of a time with the cutoff knob. What a great sounding plugin.

It is rather good. I still like Minimonsta for this type of sound, but find myself using Monark too.

    Hi,

Is it dummy proof and good for idiots that don't want to know music, and just want to bang on the keys like a 4 year old?

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Try the demo! You'll be fine.

    Blast from the past...

I had the free MiniMoog which Arturia gave a way for free on music day a few years ago. Loved it, though it felt a bit clunky. But the sound was A-1. Couldn't seem to re-autorize it once I upgraded the computer, so that's that.

Steinberg's Retrologue which I discovered in the interval is one of my absolute favorite synths - one of the last 3rd party plug-ins I use. Quite a bargain for that price. And it sounds so lively...

Between Retrologue and Logic's own Retrosynth, I've got that type of south covered pretty well.
