Count our blessings...

I never thought much of the whole shredder thing back then, I just ignored Jason Becker as one of them. Never heard of him again until his story showed up in my newsfeed a while back and yesterday again, to mark the release of his signature pick up.

His story is a pretty touching one - and so is his irrevocable dedication to music, despite the fact that his mind basically trapped into his body. No matter if you like the musical genre or not, the story itself is likely to be appreciated by just about anyone, but even more particularly musicians, I guess..

Wow. On my WORST days, I should look at this. VERY INSPIRING!  Thank you so much for finding this!
Best to all of those (including myself) who struggle through pain and depression and yet still let the artist in us come through. Thank God.

Oh wow I had no idea what had become of him. Funnily enough I was just listening to a bit of Cacophony on YouTube the other day and wondering what happened to them both. Looks like he's adapted his musical thirst to his inescapable circumstances, what a guy!

And I just finished listening to Perpetual Burn.

Been a while (I can only handle extreme shredding in small doses  ).
